I am from Sichuan, and 80% of the practitioners in this industry are from Sichuan. I was born in the 1970s, dropped out of school very early, and started working when I was a teenager. I came to Guangdong first, and then returned to my hometown to work as a production line leader in a paper mill. At that time, I was in charge of more than a dozen people, but the salary was still very low. So I came out again later, first to Hebei, Beijing, then to Fujian, and finally back to Dongguan.

When I was in Beijing, I worked as a moldmaker. Later, Mr. Liu, the founder of Aifei, was working in Jinsan Factory. Liu and I have always been related. Their factory was overwhelmed, so Mr. Liu called me over to help. I went to help for a few days, but then Jinsan’s boss wouldn’t let me leave, haha. The salary they offered at that time was also high, so I stayed at Jinsan. At Jinsan Factory, I was responsible for making molds, tying frames, and helping with filling materials, etc. I basically did all the work.

Later, Mr. Liu left Jinsan Factory to work alone and founded Aifei. After that, I also left my job and founded rifano in 2014. At that time, there were only three of us in the factory: me, my wife and a mold master. We had too much work at that time. The mold master got off work at 10 p.m., but my wife and I basically worked until three or four in the middle of the night every day, often sleeping only three hours a day.

At that time, it only took us one month from setting up the factory to producing the finished product.

Because I also co-founded rifano. Due to some differences in ideas between the partners at that time, I finally chose to leave and founded Aibei.

Aibei Factory is still surviving and earning a decent income. We are relatively conservative in doing things. Although we are not very well-known, we have never relaxed in our pursuit of product quality.

But actually I regret that I didn’t develop the Aibei brand! I really hope to be able to adjust it now, but Aibei has been running in an inherent way for so many years, and it is difficult to completely reinvent it.

So now I hope to build a new brand. Even if I am not in charge, and even the production is not carried out in our factory, it is still very exciting to participate in shaping a top brand. Even more exciting is that this undertaking is ongoing.

In this team, I am responsible for finding the best quality suppliers, obtaining the most suitable raw material prices, and understanding each factory information. Make sure we use the best raw materials and various accessories, functions, etc. in the industry.

After being in this industry for so many years, few people can match me in terms of information acquisition and cost control. Whether it is a top-notch factory or a fake factory, what materials and metal frames do they use? Which artist did the makeup? Who is responsible for eyebrow and hair transplantation? Where is the design and 3D printing done? I am very aware of all these situations, hahaha, because I have shares in many suppliers, and they have a very good relationship with me.
